In addition to presenting many high quality public performances, Subiaco Arts Centre also hosts keep-fit and yoga community classes, as well as actors workshops and theatre company rehearsals. The following is a sample of community classes available at the centre.
Perth Actors Collective
PAC (Perth Actors Collective) Workshops provide a comprehensive range of adult acting classes as well as classes for directors and others at Subiaco Arts Centre. These include the popular PAC Screen Workshops for Actors, Directors & Writers.
PAC Screen Workshop 1 is the foundation course on Tuesday evenings and gives participants a practical understanding of creating screen drama together and what is required to deliver a believable and memorable performance for film or TV.
PAC Screen Workshop 2 on Thursday evenings is further advanced and explores a theme for each series( e.g, Comedy, Improvisation. Romance,etc.)
PAC offers weekly PAC Acting for Stage classes which teach core acting skills on Monday evenings and PAC Voice Classes on Wednesday evenings which not only teach participants to improve the quality of their speaking voice but how to deliver voice over’s in a studio.
PAC hosts bi-monthly free feature film script readings - PAC Script Lab for the general public where a WA script is reading and audience members are able to give their feedback on it.
